Leicestershire County Councillors Keith Merrie (4 Para, C company) and Craig Smith (RAF) attended the monthly Coalville Armed Forces & Veterans Breakfast club this morning (AFVBC).
The Coalville group like other AFVBC’s around the country, the purpose is to facilitate Veterans and serving personnel to meet face to face in a relaxed, safe, social environment to enjoy breakfast and banter, to combat loneliness and provide the opportunity for Veterans to “return to the tribe”.
The club meets on the 1st Saturday of every month at The Bulls Head, Loughborough Road, Thringstone, LE67 8LR
All Veteran’s and serving personnel are encouraged to attend and will be made very welcome (even PTI’s).
This morning was a double whammy as the Coalville and District Bikers joined us for a pit stop on their way to the National Memorial Arboretum to join Veteran Bikers from all over the country Supporting the annual “Ride to the Wall” event www.rttw.org
