North West Leicestershire Conservative Association are delighted to announce the adoption of local businessman Craig Smith as their candidate for the next General Election.
Craig, who has lived in North West Leicestershire his entire life, other than when serving his Country during his 10 year RAF career. Craig is the sitting County Councillor for Coalville North, having won the seat for the Conservatives for the first time ever in 2021.
Craig runs the Stealth Fitness Centre in his home town of Coalville for the last 18 years and lives in Whitwick.
Craig is passionate about improving educational outcomes for children in North West Leicestershire, he advocates for improving the fitness and mental wellbeing of young people through physical activity, and has pledged to campaign tirelessly for families throughout the constituency.
Craig said “I’m proud to have been born here. I live here and I work here. My community has shaped me into the hard working campaigner I am today. I’m now reaching out to my friends and neighbours throughout North West Leicestershire, urging them to send one of their own to Westminster at the next election”.
“The people that I serve in my County Council division know what I am about, I have a proven track record that I get stuff done. In the coming months I hope to show all of the towns and villages across North West Leicestershire that is how I work and what I believe. Only that way can I ask them to place their trust in me to be their voice in the House of Commons. Through decency and hard work.”
